Tip Top Tapas - Coach Magazine

This airy restaurant has a perfectly extensive menu full of traditional Spanish tapas, alongside larger mains and paella. The victors of the evening were the chorizo iberico sausages and the carne a la parilla - a grilled and marinated flank of beef that was altogether rather special. On the wetter side of your meal, you've got a substantial drinks menu, with cocktails, wine and of course, sangria, which is thankfully included in a happy hour that runs every single day. Phew.

Spanish Tapas Informal and Explosive

Spanish Tapas Informal and Explosive

If you enter Grand Central from New Street, you'll find the old concrete ramp that used to link the Pallasades shopping centre is still there. Beloved of Brummies for decades, the ramp is a whisper of old Birmingham. As I sat on a leather upholstered chair, sipping saffron lemonade and popping calamares into my mouth at Tapas Revolution, I reflected how the city has changed in recent years....

Inspired by the tapas bars of Madrid, this small chain has arrived in Birmingham after openings in London's Shoreditch and Westfield. The brains behind the business is TV chef Omar Allibhoy - Spain's answer to Jamie Oliver, complete with scooter and obligatory bushy beard. The food is very very good.

Tapas Revolution, Shoreditch – new! Magazine Celeb Hangout Autumn 2015

Tapas Revolution has continued to be THE celeb hangout this Autumn. CBB’s Casey Batchelor returned for more Gin Tonics with her Geordie Shore bezzie Vicky Pattison and TOWIE’s Pete Wicks.

Then Pete’s TOWIE cast-mate Charlie King tucked in to dinner with friends and Hollyoaks’ Jennifer Metcalfe loved Omar’s tapas so much she told the team at new! Magazine to come check it out!
